Auction today 150 years of contemporary art
The last auction of our Anniversary year will be held on December 1st at Tordenskiolds gate. The catalogue spans the 150 years that we have been in business. The oldest of the works are produced by Thomas Fearnley and thereafter art works for all eras up until today.
The auction spans widely, from evocative landscape paintings by Edvard Munch, Kitty Kielland, Peder Balke, Thomas Fearnley and Theodor Kittelsen, winter landscapes by Axel Ender and Kåre Tveter, depictions of Mathilde Dietrichson, Jahn Ekenæs, Sverre Bjertnæs, Kai Fjell, Arne Ekeland and Dolk, portraits and genre scenes by Mathilde Dietrichson, Jahn Ekenæs, Sverre Bjertnæs, Kai Fjell, Arne Ekeland og Dolk, to abstract interpretations by Anna-Eva Bergman, Marianne Heske, Aase Texmon Rygh, Per Kleiva and Hanne Borchgrevinck. The auction also includes photographs by important Norwegian artists such as Kåre Kivijärvi, Mari Slaattelid, Mikkel McAlinden and Tom Sandberg.
One of the auctions most exciting art works is a very seldom version of Nikolai Astrup's "Maimåne", without a moon!
