How to buy
Blomqvist is Norway’s oldest and leading auction house. Since 2006 we have arranged thousands of online auctions. We have always been able to offer exciting and interesting lots. Participate in our online auctions from your own home by following four simple steps.
STEP 1 - REGISTER
To make bids at an online auction, you need to register here. As soon as you are registered, you will gain access to “My Page” where you will find information on your sales, bids and purchases.
STEP 2 – FIND YOUR DREAM LOT
Be inspired and find the lot you want by browsing through our different categories. If you know exactly what you are searching for, we recommend you use our search engine.

PLACE A BIDLog in and make an offer on the object you wish to purchase. Make sure to register your credit card before placing a bid. Read more here |
MAXIMUM BIDChoose the maximum amount you are willing to bid. The auction system will take care of the rest and bid on your behalf as the offers increase. Remember that all bids are binding. Read more here |
NOTIFICATIONSIf you are outbid you will be notified by e-mail. You can continue bidding if you wish. By bidding within the auction's final four minutes, the auction will be automatically extended for four minutes. This is to avoid bids being made at the last second. The extension continues until a winner is established. |
STEP 4 – CONGRATULATIONS, YOU WON!
RESERVATION AGAINST TECHNICAL FLAWS
We take extensive measures to run a secure and reliable auction system. Still, we must secure ourselves against technical flaws that could obstruct an auction and cause it not to run as expected. In these cases, we reserve the right to stop or alter, temporary or permanently, an on-going auction. We may also annul a finished auction even if the buyer has received notice of the hammer price. Blomqvist is unable to take responsibility for these situations.
The technical implementation of the online auctions also depend on the local conditions of each individual customer (own computers, internet connections etc.). Blomqvist cannot be responsible for these conditions. Please note that the clock which counts down to the auction end, is running on the customer's own computer unit. It will therefore continue to count down even if the contact with Blomqvist's server should be broken. In such cases, the bidder, for instance, could miss updates on higher bids than their last bid. The customer is responsible for the contact to the internet to be intact. We therefore advise customers to update the website regularly (press "refresh", ie load the page).
