About Blomqvist online

Resepsjon i Rolfsbuktveien 4 e-f Fornebu

All you need is internet access - you can sit anywhere in the world and buy art and antiques.

Ever since 1870, when C.W. Blomqvist established Blomqvist Kunsthandel in Christiania, Blomqvist has been Norway's largest art dealer. From a gradual start, the auctions have increased to 16 this year, divided between two sales locations. Because of great demand the firm was divided into two and now comprises Blomqvist Kunsthandel and Blomqvist Nettauksjon. At Blomqvist Nettauksjon, bidding, the fall of the hammer and payment are conducted exclusively online.

Anyone can participate in an online auction. The advantage of the internet is that everyone has access, has the opportunity to bid and to follow the bidding when it suits them. With increased accessibility comes increased interest, benefiting the vendor. On the internet it is unnecessary to meet the auctioneer’s short time limits.

It is just as safe as before to sell and buy through Blomqvist. Secure payment is a byword for Blomqvist when you trade on our online auction. Every day new lots are put up for sale. We provide detailed photographs of the lots and in addition each lot is carefully described. If this is insufficient, a Blomqvist expert can answer your questions. You may also visit the online auction's showrooms at Rolfsbuktveien 4 to view the lots in more detail.

Blomqvist is proud to be able to act as a cultural heritage intermediary through the internet.

It has always been the firm's aim that everyone should be able to buy art and antiques in a safe and simple way. Blomqvist's solidity, experience and understanding of modern technology contributes to maintaining this aim, including online.
